Nicholas has worked in the Insolvency and Recovery industry for over 20 years. During this time he has worked in a number of insolvency and accountancy practices, from larger central London based firms to smaller boutique practices. He met, worked and became close friends with his co-founder Stuart Cottingham in 2002.
Nicholas qualified as a Licensed Insolvency Practitioner in 2010, and shortly afterwards once again teamed up with Stuart, and together they created Libertas.
Nicholas’ strength lays in his hands on approach and his appreciation that there is no ‘one size fits all’ solution to financial distress. Focusing on desired outcomes, he positions himself to give both targeted and creative advice that delivers outcomes not only addressing the short term issues, but that lead towards an obtainable future objective.
Nicholas has worked with, and alongside, banks, lenders, investors, directors and creditors across a variety of industries and so is well placed to advise across all insolvency disciplines. Nicholas is a fellow member of both the Insolvency Practitioners Association and Association of Business Recovery Professionals.
Outside of work, Nicholas is a devoted family man, happily married with three boys and a dog. He is a massive sports fan and supporter of Tottenham Hotspurs. He also likes music, theatre and travel.
